F-1 students who wish to travel and re-enter the U.S. during an OPT Cap-Gap Employment period should be aware of the following:

1.       To re-enter the U.S. in F-1 status during OPT Cap-Gap extension, you must have a valid OPT EAD card, along with a valid passport, F-1 visa, signed I-20 and employment letter.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on April 7 that it has received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to reach the statutory cap of 65,000 visas for fiscal year (FY) 2015.
